But how many of our high school students are [...] COLBY QUALLS – Hoof Prints Editor I must admit that this blog entry was not typed the day it happened like my previous entries. One, I was tired of the constant battle with the Internet connection in D.C. Two, I really had little time on Friday to create an entry. Three, even if I had time, I was so incoherent from sleep deprivation that it wouldn’t make any sense. I felt it was only fair to let you know that this entry is a reflection of what happened, and I hope ultimately a tribute to the week in its entirety. I have decided to lump the last two days together since they seemed to run into one for me. With this being said, I hope you take the time to experience the ending of the week of a lifetime. [...] COLBY QUALLS – Hoof Prints Editor It seems my prediction/assumption was correct. This morning was awful. I went to bed a little before midnight and woke up at 5. Normally I could deal with losing a little sleep one night, but this trip takes so much energy out of me. Don’t get me wrong, this week has been so close to perfection, but the continual, full agenda wears down on us. I seriously had little to no drive to even move. As I reflect on the day, I don’t even remember details about breakfast. I am sure I was a pleasant to converse with this morning. There was a reason for this madness though. Have I enjoyed the other days? Of course. I have loved every single minute in D.C. But this day has been, and very might remain, the peak of my trip.
